WXCU Radio
WXCU / Capital University Radio

WXCU is a student run radio station broadcasting live from the campus of Capital University.

We live in Columbus, OH. It was founded by space-age robots, but when Superrobotrulersofthefuture, OH wouldn't fit on a map,
they called it Columbus. We love our active arts community, where new bands form with the regularity of atoms splitting during nuclear fission.

We broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks per year.
We would broadcast even more often, but you know... galactic rules and stuff.

WXCU is led by a student management team that handles it all
programming decisions, scheduling, controlling the tides, reviewing music, hosting events...
and we feature DJs from all over campus (both physically and conceptually).
Our DJs go on to become nurses, business leaders, public relations pros, music engineers, television hosts...
and sometimes even DJs.

We program what we like. We like rock music. We like alternative.
We also like folk, alternative-country, super sugary pop, metal, hip-hop. We cover the bases.

We're deeply commited to supporting local music and independent artists.
Our DJs are often local musicians and/or independent artists. We feature them regularly.

We frequently invite Columbus musicians and regional touring acts to campus, hosting multiple concerts each year.
We're 100% D.I.Y. - we bring our own P.A. equipment, our own techs, and we promote, produce and enjoy.
We also offer promotional support to student organizations and events on the Capital University campus.

We run our radio world with RCS software for scheduling, playback and automation.
RCS is in use in over 62 countries around the world - we would like to someday visit them all.
We all have a fully-function production suite that we use to produce all of our witty sweepers, promo spots, and special programs.

Thanks for visiting us! Now click on the stream and see what we're all about.
